Miracle Stories in Kenya

The Bush of Kenya is Theresa’s favorite place to be—near the Uganda border where she rides motorcycles to minister and teach in the churches.  There are grass huts and little electricity.  HOWEVER, miracles abound.  All the babies she holds with malaria get healed.  She seems to have a special anointing to pray for those with Aids and they get healed—even when they are days from death.

This Story is full of miracles!  Theresa ministered in 2011 in a maximum security men’s prison in the rural area of western Kenya.  It is a miracle to get in because westerners are normally never allowed.  Inmates eat one meal a day plus a piece of bread and tea in the morning.  There are no beds and the men-100 to a room, must squat to sleep and lean on the person behind them.  Further, the warden was a Muslim and had signed the OK document and then changed his mind but the head chaplain at the main prison in Nakuru over-rode him.

Theresa always takes in soaps and lotions for 1100 inmates.  It is the only time they get a real bar of soap.  Holy Spirit always gives her a strong message that leads to healings and salvations.  On this trip she was shown in a dream beforehand--three men who had been praying for God to bring someone to minister to them.  Theresa had asked to visit this prison and had fasted and prayed in response, though she’d not met these men.  The miracles were explosive.  The Assistant Warden got healed of alcoholism and ulcers from simply hearing the message Theresa gave that day.  He came in tears he was so grateful.  Understand that African men don’t cry—and NOT in public to a woman.  A man dying of Aids who wasn’t eating anymore was healed overnight and asked to work the next day which was cleaning latrines.  Another had eye problems and severe pain from infection and crying so much in prison as he’d been lied about.   A pastor took the kleenix which Theresa had used to wipe away tears she had cried for the men.  He wiped it on the inmate’s eyes and they were totally healed.  Within days 60 inmates were released and a total of over 100 released within two weeks.

This was miraculous as normally 1-2 per week were released!  One of those released was on death row and had been wrongly accused.  There are no DNA tests—ONLY GOD in the Bush.  He too was released.  His first act of freedom was to kiss the ground and go to a worship service to praise God!  He didn’t take time to eat though it had been a couple of days.  Even Theresa was undone by the amazing Hand of God!  It even snowed on the prison grounds the next day—not possible in this part of Kenya and certainly not in June, and didn’t snow anywhere else.  We must come to know how BIG OUR GOD IS!

Multiplication of food has happened in the Bush and many get baptized into a fresh Presence of God.

For Theresa the miracle of joy among the people who have so little is amazing.  The laughter of the children and the love of the people in spite of tremendous hardships is a special secret and miracle of the Bush!
